The Quince Orchard Cougars improved to 12-9 (11-8 in 4A West Region play) on the season with a strong 51-25 win over Kennedy on Senior Night. The Cougars opened a 30-11 lead at halftime and cruised to victory from there.

The Cougars were led by seniors Giulia and Alexa Sanmartin as they were joined by their fellow triplet Sienna Sanmartin in the starting lineup. Alexa led the team in scoring with 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field and two three-pointers. She also finished with five rebounds and three assists in an all around team effort. Giulia shot a lights out 4-for-6 from the three-point arc, finishing with 14 points, five steals, four assists and three rebounds.

QO honored a six person senior class with four of those six players having three years of varsity experience. The seniors are Amanda Bishop, Sarah Gleason, Danni Lehner, and Alexa, Giulia, and Sienna Sanmartin. Danni Lehner will be headed to play college basketball at Virginia Wesleyan in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Amanda Bishop will be continuing her career at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. Several of the other seniors are looking to continue their basketball careers as well.
