Game Recap

QO finished the season sweep of Clarksburg, winning on the road 56-52.

The Cougars were led by senior Danni Lehner, who had her best game of the season after missing half of the year and all the preseason with an achilles injury. Lehner had 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. Every time the Cougars needed a big basket, Lehner provided one.

QO also shot 29.2% from the three point arc, making seven. Senior Alexa Sanmartin was 3-of-8 from the arc, finishing with 11 points and added four assists and three rebounds. Junior Maggie Regan shot 2-of-6 from three, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, and four assists in a strong all around effort.

Sophomore Destini Kelley had the best game of her career, shooting 5-of-7 for 10 points and adding five rebounds.

The game was close throughout as the Clarksburg Coyotes led 10-9 after the 1st quarter. The Cougars shot the ball very well in the 2nd quarter, knocking down 18 points to take a two point lead at halftime. A strong third quarter, scoring 15 points, gave QO a lead it would not surrender. The Cougars shot poorly from the FT line (3-for-13) but hit their foul shots down the stretch to preserve the lead.
